Research and Development Project Case of Sonic Motor for Intelligent Electric Toothbrush

Development basis and background

Therefore, driven by the surging market demand, the industry "pioneers" and "rising stars" compete for beauty, and jointly promote the overall improvement of electric toothbrushes from appearance to connotation, so consumers have more ideal choices.

As the "heart" of the electric toothbrush, the toothbrush motor needs to reflect the characteristics of small volume and large energy density on the premise of being compatible with the internal structure of the electric tooth. It also needs to take into account the performance requirements of high frequency and low noise. It needs to reflect the exquisite design of the motor in the details in order to win the favor of consumers. The speed, operation stability, noise, safety and life of the driving element determine the comfort and cleaning ability of the electric toothbrush to a large extent. Due to its many advantages, the brushless sonic motor has become the driving element of the electric toothbrush selected by many European and American families. Its leading professional position comes from the unique sonic vibration technology. Compared with the manual toothbrush, the sonic vibration toothbrush is more scientific and effective, it can remove plaque more deeply, help improve gum health, and bring consumers a revolutionary new technology for brushing their teeth. It can be said that the research and development of high-tech, high value-added brushless sonic motor has become a general trend driven.

Based on this, at present, our company cooperates with an electric toothbrush brand company to carry out the research and development of high-frequency brushless sonic vibration motor, in order to meet its use and supporting requirements. Main R & D contents and results

 

R & D content:

1. Development and design of brushless sonic motor structure based on high frequency intelligent electric toothbrush;

2. Research on motor winding rearrangement technology and development and application of strong magnetic rare earth permanent magnet materials;

3. Research on the matching of torque and speed and mechanical characteristics;

4. Research on key process technology and equipment development of motor assembly in efficient automatic production mode.

 

 

R & D Results:

Two special brushless sonic motors for electric toothbrushes have been developed and relevant intellectual property rights have been applied. The motor has good characteristics of high frequency and low noise, and the vibration frequency can reach up to 48000 times/minute. By arranging the stator and rotor along the length of the housing, the coil assembly is close to the permanent magnet. When alternating pulses are input during use, the coil assembly generates an alternating magnetic field, which makes the permanent magnet move back and forth under the action of magnetic force. During the movement of the permanent magnet, on the one hand, due to the action of the eccentric seat, the output shaft produces high-frequency vibration, on the other hand, through the action of the shrapnel, the output shaft can swing back and forth around the axis, so as to realize the output of high-frequency vibration and directional swing.

In addition, the motor is a brushless motor, which completely overcomes the short life of the brush motor and many quality hazards in a humid environment. The sound wave motor developed fully matches the vibration frequency "memory" of electric toothbrush users, and can directly bring consumers a more professional and personalized oral care experience.
