Case Study of R & D Project of Slotless DC Motor for High Performance Tracker

Development basis and background

 

In today's era of information and pan-entertainment, a large number of innovative high-tech products have emerged in the field of consumer electronics applications, such as unmanned automatic tracking and shooting. Locators, unmanned multi-axis aircraft, etc., are becoming more and more popular among young people. It provides a more interesting way of shooting for people who like to take selfies and photographers.

At present, our company has developed a fully automatic tracking camera shutter rotating motor for a company. This kind of motor requires high response speed, less noise, greater torque, longer life, and adopts battery DC drive. The motor is installed on a waterproof and shockproof device. After the height is adjusted, it is aimed at the sensor installed on the subject by induction. In this way, no matter how far or close you run, the device can accurately and efficiently help you capture every moment. 

The project is redesigned and developed to adapt to this new performance and structural requirements, in order to gain customer recognition, and at the same time expand the application to a larger field of cameras and drones, and carry out the research and development of such motors as soon as possible, which can occupy the new heights of technology and sales in this field and lead the development direction of the industry.

R & D content:

1. Slotless coil rearrangement optimization winding and new fixture design technology

Slotless coils adapted to the functional requirements of the product, oneOutsideThe diameter needs to reach more than 10mm. Compared with the hollow cup motor below 8mm, this slotless coil winding system, It is more difficult, the process is more complex, and consistency is more difficult to guarantee. The project re-optimized the arrangement of the slotless coils and designed a new winding fixture. Using 3-dimensional anti-truth, the flat butt joint angle and position of the slotless coils were accurately calculated, so that the whole coil could perfect head-to-tail butt joint during the circling process. At the same time, the inner and outer concentricity of the coil was ensured to be below 0.03mm, the cup mouth of the whole coil was flat, free of deformation, flying lines, scattered lines and no obvious triangle shape.

2. Unique back cover and brush assembly process structure design

The conventional motor shaft is directly pushed onto the rear cover of the motor. In this project, a central process hole is opened on the rear cover. On the one hand, the brush can be assembled without damaging the brush and the brush assembly efficiency can be improved. On the other hand, the motor can dissipate heat. At the same time, the assembly accuracy of the front axle end pulley can be used to ensure axial movement. The whole product looks simpler, smaller, stronger and integrated.

3. Optimal magnetic field matching technology based on efficiency

Through the optimal design and utilization of the performance and structure of the magnetic steel, at the same time, according to the actual situation of the customer's product load, the best coil parameters can be found to match the magnetic field, so as to minimize the working loss and make the customer's product load work at the maximum efficiency, thus giving full play to the maximum efficiency of the motor.

4. Research on back cover soft brush automation equipment

A soft brush feeding device is creatively designed. At the same time, through the design of a brush feeding box, the whole assembly process of the soft brush is automated, the automatic feeding and installation positioning of the brush are realized, and the production efficiency and yield are improved.

 

R & D Results:

  1. Observating independent intellectual property rights, applying for 1 invention patent, applying for 4 utility model patents, and authorizing 4; solving the technical problem of automatic assembly of soft brushes for slotless DC micromotors.
  2. The four series of new slotless DC motor products developed by the project, such as 1215 and 1213, have stronger power performance and reliability performance than iron core motors in the same volume, with larger torque, lower noise and stronger reliability, which is very suitable for consumer unmanned automatic tracking shooting industry. It is expected that there will be a broader market prospect in the future.
